My name is Shaked Avraham. I am seven months old. I was born in Negohot, south of Hebron, in February 2003, where I live with my parents Shai and Shira. It is a small community with just 31 families, and I am one of the youngest! My parents are very excited because I have just learned to walk. I have my whole life ahead of me and the entire world to explore!
On September 26, 2003, my family was celebrating my first Rosh Hashanah with my parents’ friends, Eyal and Sarah Yeberbaum, in their caravan. Around nine o’clock there was a knock at the door, and our family friend Eyal answered. There waiting for him was Mahmoud Hamedan, a Palestinian terrorist armed with a M16 assault rifle. The terrorist had just been released from a life sentence in prison for planning to carry out another attack, in hopes of inspiring peace with the Palestinians. The terrorist shot and killed Eyal and than began to shoot indiscriminately into the caravan. A bullet struck me. My father, a volunteer ambulance driver did all he could to save me, but I died there. My name is Shaked Abraham. I am seven months old. And I am one of the #TheFallenFaces.Learn more about Shaked Avraham here.
